Join us for a weekend of Acro Yoga in Courtenay, BC. Classes will be taking place at Studio IPF(Inner Pursuit Fitness), located at 303 b 13th Street, Courtenay, BC. No partner is required to attend these workshops. Join the growing Acro Yoga community in the Comox Valley. Acro Yoga is extremely fun. You will get to laugh and play like a kid. You will get to meet like-minded people in your community (maybe it’s that person you practice next to in yoga every week but haven’t spoken to yet). Intro to Acro | October 28th 12:00-2:30pm | $35 or $60 for both days

Prerequisites: None

Acro yoga is a playful practice that combines yoga, partner acrobatics and Thai massage. It is a practice that helps to build, not only, physical strength, but trust, communication, and community. Please join Katie Thacker and Brandon Sherbrook to learn the basics of Acro Yoga. Together we will move through the principles of bone stacking, weight transfer, building trust and supporting one another. No partner is required for this workshop and no experience is needed. Come with an openness to play and surprise yourself with what you are truly capable of.

High Flyers | October 29th 12:00-2:30pm | $35 or $60 for both days

Prerequisites: Completion of Intro to Acro or proficiency with the poses bird, throne, folded leaf

Take your acro yoga practice to the next level. In this workshop we will start to link postures, add some fluidity, and take it upside down. We will have plenty of options to make it more challenge for those of you who are experienced acro yogis. No partner required.

About Katie & Brandon

Katie is passionate about sharing acro with the masses. Her teaching focusses on structured alignment, controlled movement, and strength building. As an ex-gymnast, Katie provides dynamic insight to movement with clear and concise instruction, allowing her students to improve quickly and efficiently. Katie has completed Acro Revolution teacher training.

Brandon is deeply passionate about supporting others to find a deeper sense of self confidence. He wants to lift you up physically and emotionally. Not only is he a strong and supportive base, his sassy sense of humor will keep you entertained in the toughest of times. Brandon has completed Acro Revolution teacher training.
