Down to Earth Astrology – June

For best results, read this column holistically, as if every sign pertained to some aspect of yourself. June Forecast The darker the situation in our world appears, the more motivated and inspired we feel to do something about it. Our glasses are definitely not rose coloured; rather, they are a grim shade of gray. There seems no escape from the hole into which we have dug ourselves. We feel this as a motivator rather than a depressant, though. Visions of alternative possibilities have never been richer or more numerous. We are determined to do something even if our every action seems to be thwarted by powers greater than our little selves. We are coming together with grit and perseverance, and having a lot of fun doing the small tedious task that add up to one great hoped for change. Our hearts are alive and open, we remember the simple ways of the past and we are telling stories and teaching youngsters the ways that worked for our forebears, while embracing what works about the modern world. It is a fine balance we are maintaining now. Aries: You feel responsible all by yourself for changing the world. This may be daunting for some, but not for you. The fire in your belly burns bright and fuels the determination that keeps you going. Taurus: Your ground is rich and ripe for...

Horoscope For May

Down-to-Earth Astrology by Bee Wolf Ray Humans are complex and cannot be reduced to twelve separate categories. For best results, read this column holistically, as if every sign pertained to some aspect of yourself (as it does). May Forecast The collective mood remains cautiously optimistic. The signs of breakdown are becoming more ubiquitous, less deniable. Wildfires out of control up North—in April? The stuff on television grows ever more extreme, American politics more ridiculous, the war machine more rapacious, the predominant ethos more regressive. All these things are happening, true. Yet the spirit is undeniably growing and evolving. People are becoming more loving. And the grass is springy and green underfoot, the soft scented Earth feels more beautiful and welcoming than ever. Yet, every moment of every day, species die out, vast machines chew and swallow the jungles, forces beyond human comprehension are at work destroying delicate balances. This is all very worrying, and everybody is feeling it. Both Mercury and Mars are retrograde now, and we are slow and introspective. Still, we make music, we plant gardens, we bear and nurture children, we strive to improve our lives as they appear in front of us. This is the right, the only thing to do. Change starts at the root and propagates outward from the individual heart. We teach with our actions. Collectively, we are working on trust now....

Down to Earth Astrology

Humans are complex and cannot be reduced to twelve separate categories. For best results, read this column holistically, as if every sign pertained to some aspect of yourself (as it does). November Forecast Some beautiful and amazing openings are possible this month, as the darkness outside increases but the light perseveres in our hearts. We have a lot to celebrate, and also a lot to fear! Emotions are tender, reality seems more frightening than ever. Certain conclusions appear inescapable, and emotionally we are prepared to believe the worst. At the same time, our collective attitude is extremely positive and can-do, you might even say, ‘gung-ho’. We’re ready for change and willing to take big risks as we forge ahead to create a new and hopefully better future. We have to find balance now between our fears and optimism. There is nothing wrong with fear! Don’t fear your fear; embrace it as you would a scared child. Bad things happen in the world; that is not an illusion. Terrible tragedies happen, even here. At the same time, amazing breakthroughs, possibilities and real changes happen all the time, and we are incredibly lucky, here in our sheltered corner of the world. It’s all true. It’s okay to contain the full spectrum of possibility. Aries: You are blessed, moving forward, feet on the ground, with love in your heart and luck on...
